I was asked by my Uncle in the UK many years ago when I was 15 or 16 why I believed in God. My Uncle casually asked me one evening, "Paul why do you believe in God?" I looked up at him and quickly said the best answer that I could have ever come up with. I said back to him, "Why not?"

See, let me explain it in an easy way to understand. If I came up to you and said here is a briefcase. You can open it and have whatever is inside it. There could be a million dollars in it or there could be nothing in it at all. The logical thing to do would be to open the case because there could be a million dollars in it. No logical person would say, "No thanks, I don't want to open the case because it might be empty". It's the same thing with believing in God. Why not believe? If I am wrong I will have lost nothing, if I am right I will have gained everything. Besides, Jesus was a pretty cool guy, a really cool guy and I admire Him.

What's really cool too is that once you really start to believe in God, He shows up in your life in so many more ways, letting you know HE IS THERE! I hope this helps someone believe.   :D

I've heard this before, and I agree 100%. What does anyone have to lose by believing?

Personally, I've believed in God for as long as I can remember. I was raised Catholic but converted and became born again in 2003. So for me, there really wasn't a choice to believe or not. God has just always been there. Period. There has never been a time in my life when He didn't exist. Even when I was disobedient, sinful, and far away from Him, I always knew He was still there.

And yes, Jesus is awesome. I can relate to Him.
