Hell is real. Being a Christian, I experienced hell. I went into depression when I was attacked by demons and was shown hell, I was in a river of flowing lava, with so many others, and the screaming I heard was heart breaking. There were so many demons, the scary pictures in this video, are mild compared to what I saw, the demons know are weaknesses and uses it against us, They know their time is short, and that’s why their moving as fast as they can to get as many souls as they can. Sometimes people need the literal Hell scared out of them in order to save them, their feet dangling just above the flames. The Lord uses every loving, as well as scary thing to get someones attention. I / Praise Him for this, I was a lost one many years ago, yet He still worked on me in many ways. I'm so grateful He chose me, and dangled me over the fire!

Why can’t Luke 16:19-31 be a literal narrative? Here’s three simple reasons:

1.  If it were, then Luke would be contradicting itself. In Luke 24:39, Y’shua says this to Thomas: “See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” – Therein lies the problem; the Rich Man had eyes (v23), Lazarus had a finger (v24), and the Rich Man had a tongue (v24).

2.  On the other hand we have Paul echoing the same thing in 1 Corinthians 15:50: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” – If flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, then how could anyone make a case that Lazarus and the Rich Man is a literally about the conditions of the righteous and the wicked in the afterlife?

3.  If this is a literal narrative, then we have to deal with a few logically absurd conclusions that you would have to come to in order to justify this as being a literal narrative:

That every rich man is going to hell.That every beggar is going to paradise.That the righteous and wicked can communicate in the afterlife.That the Rich Man would ONLY ask for a mere DROP of water.

If any of the above conclusions are true then we can just forget logic, reason, and scripture altogether and throw all three out the window. Now that we’ve established that Lazarus can’t be literal, let’s compare it to some of Y’shua’s other parables to see if it matches the format:

Matthew 21:33 “There was a certain landowner…”Luke 7:41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors…”Luke 10:30 “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho…”Luke 15:11 “A certain man had two sons…”Luke 16:1 “There was a certain rich man who had a steward…”Luke 16:19 “There was a certain rich man…”

Alright, now that we’ve established that this is a parable, let’s get to the meat of it. What was Y’shua trying to convey to His audience? Thankfully, the internal evidence in the parable clearly reveals what Y’shua was teaching to His hearers. The parable was about the current relationship (at that time) between the Jews (Rich Man) and the Gentiles (Lazarus).

What is said of the Rich Man? He:

Is clothed in purple and fine linen (v19)Has five brothers (v28)Has Moses and the Prophets (v29)Wouldn’t repent if one was raised from the dead (v31)

Now we know that purple is the color of royalty and that Judah, was the Royal tribe from which the “scepter would not depart from” until Shiloh comes (Gen. 49:10). We also know according to Exodus that the garments of the Royal Priesthood were to be made of fine linen, which was to be made of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread (Exd. 28:5). Purple is also the color of the clothing of the kings of Midian (Jdg. 8:26) and the robe which Y’shua was made to wear when he was mocked and beaten (Mark 15:17-20).

Moreover, the patriarch Judah had five brothers: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, and Zebulun (Gen. 35:23). As for “Moses and the prophets”, that’s a no-brainer. Israel had Moses and the prophets and they slaughtered every one of them between the porch and the altar (Matt. 23:29-35). Lastly, we have the testimony of the unbelief of the Jews, that though they were shown wondrous signs they still did not believe (John 1:11, 10:25-38, etc). The Jews even conspired to kill Lazarus after Y’shua resurrected him, because it caused many Jews to trust in Y’shua (John 12:9-11).

The Rich Man is Israel

What is said of Lazarus? He:

Is a beggar full of sores (v20)Laid at the Rich Man’s gate (v20)The dogs licked his sores (v21)

A beggar is someone who is poor, destitute, and stricken with poverty. Scripturally, this is often a metaphor for one of the judgments that God poured out on Israel for their apostasy. It’s obvious that God only revealed Himself to the people of Israel, and Lazarus, being symbolic of the Gentiles, was not part of that blessing.

The Gentiles were without the knowledge of the One True God for about 4,000 years and thus were subject to whore after their false gods. They were beggars, spiritually speaking. Ezekiel 16 is a PERFECT example of this type of imagery. Israel was said to have been wallowing in their own blood (v6), but God brought them to life and made them flourish (v7) and adorned them with gold, silver, silk, etc (v10-13). You can read the rest of Ezekiel 16 for yourself — I don’t want to stray too far from the subject.

Lazarus laid at the gate of the Rich Man. This is because no Gentile was allowed to live amongst Israel unless he too became an Israelite. Also, no foreigner was allowed into the temple, nor anyone who was unclean. This can be clearly seen from Acts 3:2that the lame man LAID AT THE GATE of the temple and asked for alms from those who entered the temple. This sounds like a perfect parallel of Lazarus and the Rich Man to me. Not only is the man afflicted with disease, but he is also a beggar!

What are dogs symbolic of? Exd. 22:31, 1 Ki. 21:19, and Matt. 15:26-27 give us a picture of what the “dogs” are. According to Exodus 22, dogs are not Holy and to be ‘Holy’ means to be “set-apart”. Israel was set-apart from all the nations (the Gentiles). In 1 Kings 21, Jezebel is killed and eaten by dogs and they were said to have licked up her blood. Jezebel was one of the most wicked, if not the most, wicked woman who ever lived. AND the best picture of all comes from Matthew 15:

When Y’shua was in Tyre and Sidon, He came across a Canaanite woman; she pleaded with Him to heal her daughter and His reply was “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (v24)”. She pleaded again and He replied again saying “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs. (v26)”. She however did not relent, but pleaded once again saying “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. (v27)” – Now if that doesn’t parallel the description of Lazarus in Luke 16:21, then I don’t know what does!

Lazarus is the Gentiles

Is it possible to worship a God who created a burning Hell for my dead love ones. After all most of us were born on accident. We didn't ask to be here.

The etymology of the Anglo Saxon word "Hell" means "To Cover" because as you die the ground covers you as you rot. So hell is simply the ground. Hell has nothing to do with a place of fiery torment….that is Gehenna in the Bible which is the Lake of Fire that will kill all unrepented sinners at judgement. Nothing in the Bibles speaks of Hell as being anything other than the ground.

"If I ascend up into heaven, thou artthere: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there."

If Hell is a fiery torment where it is the absence of God then why does David know for matter of fact that God would be there with him in Hell? That's because Hell is just the ground and the resting place of the dead. David simply wanted to know that God would be there to comfort him and protect him even into death. There is no eternal torture because Roman's 6:23 states that the wages of sin is death. Everybody who has died is asleep in the ground until judgement. You won't be aware of anything when you die. It will be like the years before you existed.

This man had a vision of Lazarus and it was symbolic. Do you really think God tortures for eternity? If you wont except everlasting Life thats when it will have eternal consequences. "Your" existance will stop. Abyss is made for the fallen Angels and their torture will be to never influence anybody. But how could God torture his children for eternity?…in that thinking something is very wrong.

People should look for the greek and hebrew meanings of the bible. They just read what someone translated without checking…

Hell is very real, and it's much worse than life on this earth. Also you can't escape it, and it's for eternity.
Only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. I've heard people joke around and even serious saying "I don't care if I go to hell, at least I'll be surrounded by my friends."
To those who think that, you are greatly deceived if you think it's going to be a party there. Does it sound like fun if you heard your friend screaming in pain, your loved ones? No, so tell those who you care about, that they can escape Hell by telling them about the sacrifice Jesus made for us so by choosing to follow Jesus and baptized can be saved. The Holy Spirit helps you to change into a new person and overcome sin.
To those who think they will live it up in hell because they choose to worship the devil…Satan doesn't care about you or anyone. Satan worshippers will have it the worst.
The Bible also says those who take advantage of orphans and widows will have it worse.
For those who wish to change from that still have a chance but that window is closing soon, so do not wait. Turn away from sin, separate yourself from worldly things, resist temptation.
Also as a final warning, anyone who accepts the mark of the beast, will be cast into hell. Don't worry about our short lives here, worry about your souls and those you love.

Lazarus and the Rich Man…. True story or a parable? Those who say that Lazarus and the Rich Man is a true story and not a parable that represents a truth maybe haven't had it explained to them. Tell me Christian friend what is the meaning of Lazarus being laid at the gate of the rich man or being fed crumbs or why the dogs licked his sores or why the rich man is clothed in purple or why the beggar was carried to Abraham's bosom or why the rich man died and in hell or why the rich man called Abraham his Father or why Abraham called the rich man his Son or why a drop of water to cool the rich man's torment or why there's a great gulf fixed or why the rich man had 5 brothers or why doesn't matter if someone went to them from the dead. Now I will show you the basic meaning of this parable. Those who were living sumptuously (the rich man) represented the Pharisees clothed in purple and fine linen who were chosen to be a representation of God to the people. The five brothers were the brothers of Judah which of course was the ruling tribe, that's why the rich man called Abraham his Father and Abraham called the rich man his Son. The beggar and the dog's are the gentiles who are wanting God's word but were only given crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. Now when each of them died Lazarus was now in Abraham's bosom (Abrahamic Covenant) and the rich man was in torment. Things have been reversed and as you know we gentiles are now enjoying the blessings that the rich man had and now the rich man has been in hell for the past 2000 years crying day and night for God at the wailing wall. Even after our Savior rose from the Dead they still didn't believe but us gentiles do believe in the resurrection of our Lord and now you know the basics of the story. Christ has bridged that great gulf and He's the one who holds the keys to death and the grave not hell as you say but the grave – hades. Amen and Amen.

Is God not a Judge? Some appeal to his mercy and others say no to it.
Of course there is a hell, and that is the temporary jail for those who have an immortal soul, their body used to house, and they never had the Spirit of God in side them- as they have a dead spirit ,a result of being born in the Image of a FALLEN, EMPTY ADAM and EVE. Genesis 3

Remember, God created Adam from within His own image, as like the Godhead is Echad in Hebrew, means together united, and it is the word ONE. God is ONE, yet there are: Father, Son made flesh, and the Holy Spirit, who are ONE (Echad). Not unlike the temple design, which is ONE, but have three parts that go together as separate: 1- Outter Court, 2- Inner Court, & 3- Holy of Holies. Man is also ONE, seemingly, till you realize that he is also comprised of three parts, at least Adam was in the beginning by Yahweh's design. Not the case for us though.
1-Body ( Tactile sense to navigate the world consciousness/awareness) , 2- soul immortal( self-consciousness/awareness), and 3- spirit ( God- consciousness/awareness). Paul affirms this in 1 Thessalonians 5: 23, taken from Genesis 2: 7. God was one with man in loving relationship and true unity, as a blessing, to copy God in moral choices ,this was God's idea.

But that all changed in Genesis 3, that moment choice was offered from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil. Good comes from being aligned with God, who is all good, while evil stems from independence from Good God, which is its opposite- the lack of light is darkness.
Instead of Adam choosing to obey what God told him, he rebelled, rejected and didn't believe what God said, rather listening to the false light, Lucifer or Satan, the Adversary. (The true original rebel, angel). God offered choice, but Satan lied. He passed this consequence onto Adam and Eve, (who came from Adam's rib, which is rich in stem cells. They are one.) They told God, "No"! Satan is the one who became their slave false god of the world that moment and took their rule, which God gave to Adam and mate. This is WHY bad things happen to people, we are the product of other people's choices to do evil, and Satan is the temporary Controller of money, and the world design for now. Mathew 4 look at the temptation of Christ, Satan had all the power to offer him. ( Jesus said no, unlike Adam.)
God is a gentleman, and offers choice, and consequences people based on their choice, and he not only kicked them out of the garden that was like a heaven come to earth, where in God walked with man in the cool of the day, but his Spirit left, exited, their bodies: Ichabad. No more temple filled. Spiritual death is separation, not disappearance per se. So the Holy Spirit of God left the temple of Adam and Eve, and they became 2/3: Body housing a soul, and no longer 3/3 =1. They asked him to leave, when they chose evil knowledge to be "like God".( Evil doesn't make you like God, but the false god of this world who is a liar.) So he did. That is what birthed evil for a 6000 year period or 120 jubilees worth of time that are sets of 50; The 120 "years" told Noah about this striving God will do with man is 120 times 50 =6000 years, from the sin on Day 6. Some think it was a year later on Day 6 anniversary.

Genesis 4 And then they had the first child, and another, and their first kid was a murderer, because Cain was made in the image of Fallen man, ***NOT in God. God doesn't sin***.
Cain sinned.
And all the rest of their kids, including all of us are born into this world without God in the inside, 2/3 = .666 in math. That is why we sin. This myriad of sin choices are available to us, but all carefully recorded by God in the books, which will come due for eternal Lake of Fire, latter on at the Great Throne Judgment, when Christ rejecters, sinners, have enjoyed all their sins, now have to pay for them forever in prison unending, separated from God in the second death. Divorce, not disappearing, is the nature of death. The garden was a temporary separation possibility, but the Lake if a final divorce, cut off, no more God, all done, and those are punished in fire as the evil that they are, because they wouldn't part with sin, evil, Satan, and self as false god. These rebels will all live together forever in Lake of Fire unending, no rest. Rev 14 and 21: 8 are clear.

This issue of bodily death is because when the God of you leaves the body, the body begins to rot, and when the soul is separated from the temple (body), that is death.Genesis 3 was the start of this.The soul has to go somewhere, and it does based on what people did with faith. Able has blood to offer Christ, likely a lamb, foreshadowing the Messiah, and faith infused in God, while Cain gives him cursed vegetables without blood, lacking faith( read Hebrews), and does it his way, embracing sin as he murders his brother, after God rejected the curse earth product.

When Adam and Eve died, they were forgiven, uniquely, as also a foreshadowing as what God would offer to man through a coming Last Adam- the BRANCH, the new START of Mankind ( but he is Yahweh) via grace. We get the Holy Spirit of God to go back inside our temple, which Messiah calls REBIRTH. John 3;3. This is what happens at the gospel of grace through faith for sin-forgiveness for the covenant, and we are indwelt by God- a temple filled! We literally are reborn in the Image of Christ, his Heir, and Children of God. This is the point of the circumcision of the heart, without human hands ( the cutting off of the old dead man connection to Adam as his children, which was seen as a foreshadow with the law of Moses to cut off the foreskin of the penis for the babies on day 8. The fulfillment of this was to be born again, which means we die with Christ, in Adam one and his rebellion, through the faith in the power of grace, to plant the seed of the Holy Spirit in us, a temple filled, and our identity is now as a child of God, through Jesus who is the perfect and exact image copier of God the father, as the Last Adam, the BRANCH, NEW Sprout of the New Creation he is making, whether Jew or Gentile in faith. Sins gone. Only record we children of God make is for Bema rewards!!!!!!!

Do you understand HOW important it is to be forgiven and have those sins go away, by virtue of the Messiah, the Last Adam, to get rid of that sin record!!!!? It follows those who have a sin record. You need a new birth, that is to become a child not of Adam, but of the Last Adam. The thing is that God is making a new eternal creation and he has become the head of it, and he will offer them an eternity in a perfected forever with him in marriage union, as his bride in some contexts. Hurry up the time to become born again easily is nearing to the end of the Age of Grace.

I am disgusted this is not being taught in church, and it took me about 40 years to put it together from scripture and the Holy Spirit of God, our teacher. Praise the Lamb of God, the sacrifice and the First Born from among the Dead, the new creation in Christ. 2 Cor 5: 17 & Gal 6 & Rev 12: 5

Yes but you're not explaining the lake of fire

Can a soul die if it is inherently immortal? Ezekiel 18:20 declares that the soul that sins will die. Was there a hell before sin manifested? What was the created heavens like before sin entered from eternity past? If the existence of perfect love, joy and peace was the state of the universe prior to the entrance of sin (Ezekiel 28:15) then why would the Almighty not restore the universe to its sinless purity….without having an eternal torture chamber to mar that perfect restoration?
