ADRIAN — The Adrian boys tennis team took on Tecumseh at Adrian College Tuesday where the Maples picked up the rivalry win, 7-1.
Adrian (9-8) swept the singles matches and took three of the four doubles matches with Tecumseh (2-9-1) getting its lone win at No. 3 doubles.

ADRIAN — The Cougars got another strong game from Jack Stamats as they topped the Titans.
Stamats set up his teammates to help get LCS up 3-1 at the half before netting a goal of his own in the second.
LCS (4-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Lumen Christi scored its lone goal with 7:03 left before the half.

Nathan Sharpe, LCS: The boys continue to go above and beyond with low numbers on the roster. We only had one sub tonight due to illness and injury but the boys gutted it out. I am proud of our defensive effort tonight as we really only made one mistake.

Onsted 12, Hillsdale 4
HILLSDALE — The Wildcats picked up a Lenawee County Athletic Association win in a high-scoring affair.
Onsted was tied with the Hornets at 3-3 in the first half before rattling off six goals to go into the break up 9-3. Wildcats kept it going to open the second half to make it 10-3 before Hillsdale scored one more time.
Onsted netted two more goals to end the game before regulation.

JACKSON — The Maples went on the road and picked up a Southeastern Conference White Division win.
Adrian led 2-0 at the half with Aiden Smith and Joey Spagnoli each assisting the other on goals. The Maples added on from there to improve to 1-1 in league play.

IDA — The Redwolves opened the scoring the LCAA matchup, but the Bluestreaks finished it as Clinton fell by a goal.
Samson Schaffner found Ryan Tschirhart for a goal 21 minutes into the game, but Ida evened the match with 1:51 to go in the half.
The Bluestreaks got the game winner with four minutes to go.

CHELSEA — The Bulldogs scored three goals on the night, one on accident, as Tecumseh battled with Chelsea in a SEC White matchup.
Tecumseh got on the board first behind a Chelsea own goal as Tecumseh’s Eli Neil played a strong corner kick and it deflected off a Bulldog defender and in.
Tecumseh led 1-0, but the Bulldogs came back with two late goals to get the win.

Jerry Nowak, Tecumseh: Going in, I knew they were going to have a possession time advantage and more shots than us. Our focus was to defend really hard and to counter attack quickly when the opportunity came up. That’s just about how the game went.

COLDWATER — The Maples picked up a win as they won 10 of the 12 events on the night.
Francesca Scarabottolo and Emily Hess each had strong nights, winning two individual events and being part of a relay win. Scarabottolo recorded state meet times in both the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly while Ella Salenbien swam 2:04.56 to take second in the 200 freestyle and also record a state meet time.
