So you take a book and instead of reading from the beginning, you use one with notations by someone else so you don't apply your own first impression or original thought. Then look up someone else to correct your thinking on what you have read. Yep, still looking to have the shepherds fleece the flock. Why would you be a sheep for this mob.
love guzik definitely helped me in my reading journey. Lol i remember taking hours to just get through 3 chapters because I would look up the verses all the time.. :/
If I don't understand a verse I always read the verses that you found if you go to the small alphabetic letters at the end of the sentence It take you to similar verses that help you to understand
Usually you start books at the beginning. Glad that I could help. But I don't really like church, this book club has been stuck on a single book for a thousand years. They should read a new one Nietzsche is pretty good. Especially Antichrist:))
What I learned that has helped me be consistent is that’s you can’t create the habit on your own and stick with it, you have to trust God to help you stick with that habit!

How to read the Bible FOR BEGINNERS #1 Get a basic Bible that isn’t confusing. (no maps, big note sections, way too many reference verses) #2 You don’t need a planner, just read through the Bible in whatever order you like.
