Welcome back to my #BibleStudyWithMe series going through the book of #James! ✨Today we are studying James 2 and there’s SO much in this chapter. It talks about what must accompany our faith in order to know that it is genuine, and it also gives a warning about having a heart that is full of judgement toward other people – and what that could be an indication of if it is.

God is exposing so much in my own heart as I read through this book, and I’m thankful His Word does just that – it exposes the areas our lives and hearts aren’t in line with His, so He can in turn make us look more like Him. 💛

I’m so excited to keep reading Scripture together in this #BibleVideo! Don’t forget to share what verse from James 2 stood out to you most down in the comments. I love getting to hear what everyone is learning as we all study the Bible together! 🤗

  1. my favorite verse from this chapter is, James 2:17 "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead." Definitely an eye opening chapter. Beautifully done! Thank you for helping me grow my spiritual life with God.

  2. Wow! I love love love this series! I’m 16 and deciphering the Bible can be difficult for me. The revelations and the thought provoking questions you bring to these bible studies have me keeping up with a chapter everyday. Thank you so much for helping me get closer to God and more aware of my actions!

  3. I looove these Bible studies, thank you so much! I’ve been slowly working on my relationship with God for the past year. It’s hard, because I don’t feel comfortable studying my Bible openly at home as my parents are very sceptical and harsh towards Christianity. But despite that, I have been brave enough to go to church a couple of times and I have a wonderful church worker and a family friend praying for me and my journey. I am so grateful for them and for you, because now it feels like I found a friend my age who can speak to me about the Bible in an accessible way. I am reading and highlighting along with you. 🥰🥰 thanks again!

  4. I have really been enjoying this series. Although everything really fed me today, what especially stood out to me was 13:2713:45 . The fact that God used a prostitute is such a reminder of how He intentionally uses any of us, no matter what our status, as long as we are willing. Rahab moved by faith, and accomplished saving the lives of others by that act of faith and the movement of works, even though she could have stalled or gave up, feeling unqualified because of her status.

It is so evident of the importance not to judge or mock or condescend because you never know who may be helping you when the time comes. And you never know what God has planned in their life to move in them.

We are not worthy but yet Jesus comes to put us on the same level, and loves us each the same. What a beautiful blessing.

  5. Hey, I love this video!!! I'm praying for you sister in Christ!!! Remember Psalm 91:10-11 KJV
[10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. [11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. God Bless You!!!

  6. Verses 3-4 stood out to me the most. I have to admit I have showed some people special attention than others and I am a shamed if it. But I have become better at treating people the way I want to be treated.

  7. Loved this! My prefered way to study His Word, in the same book doing; chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Looking forward to chapter 3!

What jumped out at me: verses 15-17. I admit, I need to work on; not being so selfish and be more selfless. Being more servent-hearted. Especially in this time we're in. As people are missing out on toilet paper and other essential items, I would absolutely give some toilet paper to someone else! I also love that, our deeds can lead us, to be able to witness to the lost.

  8. Did anyone think that hedge-trimming was their phone vibrating at first? 😳 I did while editing until I remembered what happened 🤣thanks for bearing with me on that! 🙈

Now let’s hear it, which verse(s) stood out to you most, and why? What are you learning in this series? 💛
