Lol you right about the standards dwindling your pool
Love this, wish it was longer ! I was just having a similar conversation with my life group. The dynamics that exist in Christian circles simply don't exist outside of the church. There seems to be an emphasis on Marriage but no one is willing to cultivate healthy friendships amongst men and women first. I grew up in a neighborhood that where my sisters and I were the only girls. I'm used to having healthy platonic friendships with men. Unfortunately, in Christian circles, its difficult to seek out friendships with the opposite w/o the pressure to "DTL" lol (byproduct of purity culture) I think Christians are bad at dating because they aren't the best at creating and maintaining friendships with the opposite sex.
Great episode Brothers. We Need y'all. Totally agree that we need authentic conversations to filter what should be the expectation from a Spiritual standpoint vs Culture/Societal standpoint. Let's make things clear for both sides.
Dope convo 👏🏾
