Deception in the Churches like Never Before – Beware – the Last Generation

What do you think of the church of Christ? He believes tongues and prophecy ceased after first century. Baptism required, communion weekly, no instruments in church, and also believes that Revelation was fulfilled first century. Should I go to this Church or go to church of God?

To all my brothers and sisters in Christ:

In my experience this teaching isn't really emphasized many churches today:

"No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God." -1 John 3:9

It's not works that save you, but a kind of faith that will produce works. John 10 says that the sheep of Jesus know His voice and FOLLOW Him.

Hebrews 3 makes it clear that the early Israelites could not enter the promise land because of "unbelief" which the chapter describes as disobedience (so obedience to God/Jesus go hand-in-hand with believing).

Remember also, Jesus is both our Savior and our Lord. Lord = master, so when you read passages like: "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. " -Romans 10:9

…there is no contradiction. Lord = master, and if we confess truly that Jesus is our master, we obey our masters.

This information today us NOT made clear in every church. Many I have heard say that we can't mention works in relation to salvation, but it's by our works that others know we are walking in faith, James says: "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him" -James 2:14

And finally, we are called to examine ourselves each day to make sure we are walking in the faith. -2 Corinthians 13:5

And of course, our sins from the past are forgiven and so too are sins we make mistakenly. However, the Bible says that habitual and unrepentant sinning is not forgiven. Hebrews 10:26-27:

"For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries."

God be with you in this journey – this life is but a testing ground. Jesus is coming soon.

All the commands and teachings of Christ are for us, not the old covenant commandments although some of them are in the new covenant it’s still a brand new covenant

We are not under Levitical law but we are NOT lawless.
We follow Law of Spirit, Law of Faith, Law of Grace, Law of Liberty, Law of Christ, and Law of God as He writes his living word upon our hearts.

Many overlook the fact that Noah and Abraham lived BEFORE the Levitical law.
Jesus did not die to restore us to the Biblical middle ages, the time of Moses and law.
Jesus would say 'at the beginning it was not so.'
Jesus restores as at the beginning, before the fall of man, man's fall into sin.
