Lyrics:

We back/ Dee-1, Tha Hip Hop Doc/ Life is Why

Shout out to the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.
We came together to teach you the FAST song.

If someone has a stroke near you
The FAST song tells you what to do

If someone has a stroke near you
The FAST song tells you what to do

F-A-S-T- Fast
F-A-S-T- Fast
F-A-S-T- Fast
F-A-S-T- Fast

Pay attention cuz I’m here to teach a lesson/ In the world someone has a stroke every two seconds/ Did you know that? If you didn’t, now you do, so together we gon fight/ Cuz 1 out of 6 people have a stroke in their life/ My aunt had a stroke, so I know the pain/ Once it hits close to home, it’s a different ballgame/ But most importantly, we gotta know the signs/ Droopy face, weak arm; difficult speech means it’s time/ To call 9-1-1, so don’t wait/ Don’t hesitate, no way, it’s the best decision to make/ Educate yourself, you could save somebody’s life/ Put your hands up, we gon start it off right. (Heyyyyyyyy!)

If someone has a stroke near you
The FAST song tells you what to do

If someone has a stroke near you
The FAST song tells you what to do

Face Arm Speech Time Fast
Face Arm Speech Time Fast
Face Arm Speech Time Fast
Face Arm Speech Time Fast

I know it’s easy to run, easy to hide/ Easy to act as if the day will never arrive/ That you see a loved one; suffering from a stroke/ But if that day comes; you can be their hero/ Face, Arm, Speech, TIME – Pay attention to the SIGNS/ This is more than just a RHYME/ Let it sink into your MIND/ Don’t be blind to these LINES, cuz it’s not fake/ Tha Hip Hop Doc wants you in Tip Top Shape/ (Sing it) Everybody out there, East to West/ Educate yourself today, and ease your stress/ F-A-S-T – i’ma need ya to know/ What the warning signs are when it comes to stroke/ Let’s go.

The letter “F,” it stands for face, If one half droops, no time to waste.
The letter “A” means an arm that’s weak/ The letter “S” means it’s hard to speak.
The letter “T” means it’s time for 9-1-1, Call right away so help will come.
Learn the song to show that you care, And help end stoke each time you share.
