The Bible isn’t a rule book. It tells the story of God making humans his partners, humans ruining it, and God restoring the world through Jesus. #shorts #BibleProject #biblevideo #bible

  1. To answer the question…"Yes, the right way to read any book that claims to be supernatural is to read it SKEPTICALLY"…

How would you read the Book of Mormon, or the Koran?

  2. Thats because you are reading it in your own understanding and are limiting yourselves cause thats what the human mind does we have shut ourselves in and forgot about nature if it was not so why were you told not to lean on your own understanding

  3. Why is it so difficult to read… i went Jehovahs Witness for a year… but the watchtower got in the way. … Him.. okay.. so God has a name and he wants you to say it. His name is jehovah. Say it… me… jehovah jireh. Him😔

  4. Read the book of Job very carefully Were Satan had a conversation with God. It was before Satan was banish to the earth. He made the accusation that mankind worship God because of what they can get. It they are tested they will Curse God. See what God allowed Satan to do. And how Job persevered and God Gave him more than he ever had A lesson to us

  5. The unique role of the Church is that it sets forth the true meaning of Scripture and Tradition in precise terms and dogmas, something the Bible was not intended to do in all of its passages, and if the Church is infallible and the pillar of truth, there must obviously be a way of recognizing its infallible teaching by means of a continued succession of authority that would safeguard the truth and exercise its authority. Moreover, it is worth repeating that the Church existed for decades before the Bible was written, and it was not even until the 4th century that the canon of the Bible was finally determined, for in the first three centuries after Christ, there were disputes about the precise makeup of the Bible.

  6. Part 1. God creates the world and everything is good.

Part 2. Mankind disobeys God and brings sin and death into the now broken world and introduces us to the thesis statement of the whole Bible in Genesis 3:15. The prophecy of the promised Seed. Everything that comes after points to this promise among many examples.

Part 3. God fulfills that promise through His only begotten Son: the person in work of Jesus Christ the savior. Who fulfilled all righteousness and paid the penalty of our sins for us. Thus reconciling us back to God through our one Mediator who will come again on the last day in righteous judgement.

  7. …any one who can read can read anything to a point of understanding, but The Bible- is not just any book , it is from The Holy All Mighty Father Creator influence and to deeply understand His Word you will need The Holy Spirit to interpret the Truth of what He is Truthfully instilled in the story – which is about His Great Merciful Love to His Children- who knows who He Is, that is why they are faithful and obedient- not robots that just parrot what they read. Get Christ Yeshua Truth in you by praying deeply from your heart that you want Him to be the ruler of your life from heart, mind and soul His way and not your. HaleluYAH AMEIN

  8. Boy saw this and short
The fist line out of it
The Bible is not a rule book?

Yes, but it is a manual written by God
And then Show by Christ how to live a
    God given life

Not a feel good human life

    And just like and manual
    To put something together

    You can leave/take out steps
    You don’t like
the thing you are putting together
    Won’t work

And that thing is our selves and our souls
The Bible needs to be taken literally
    As it was written

It is a book of God not human
    Feel goodness

I am ok you are ok.
    No we are all sinners

When Jesus started his teaching coming down from the hills of
    The first thing he said

Repent your sins be baptized in me
    And sin no more.

    It’s ok if you don’t
    Do that

    Following Gods religion
    You following

    A water down
    That does nothing for
    We are more then self
    We are Gods children

Who needs all the help we can

    Cause after all these years
We still ain’t getting it right
And this short is the proof

God bless you all and please
    Don’t mess with Gods words
    You are not God

  9. Christians have used the rules in this book for centuries. Are you throwing the rules away when you say “it’s not a rule book?” Do you mean it’s more than just a book with rules? If we don’t takes these rules seriously, how are we any different than everyone else? I’m not advice for legalism, but there has to be clarity on this.

  10. Ok the Bible is the word of Almighty God in which He sets out rules to live by. The things we should do.
And the things we should not. Those things are called sin. To say otherwise is foolish ignorance. Almighty God, Christ Jesus came here to die for us in our place so that all who BELIEVE and therefore OBEY (do) His instructions shall have eternal blessed lives and not suffer the eternal punishment of the devils.

Read the Bible for yourself and know truth. Don't listen to the BS spouted by those in so called authority

  11. I have learned the most by reading the Bible in context, compare everything with the words of Christ, pray to bring scriptures in remembrance, research the original words and their meaning (Hebrew for OT and Greek for NT), and pray for guidance and God's wisdom which brings understanding. Basically, the Bible explains itself and all scriptures are connected. I hope this helps! 😊

  12. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 2:1-2

“Do not think that I (Christ) have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-19
