  2. Those creepy-looking girls with the veils, that's heroin walking in her brain, that Room. No, it's not about lesbianism, it's about drug addiction. Sorry to dash your dreams. And people never, ever lie about what their songs mean so that Christians will buy their songs too. I know that John Lennon never did. Facepalm.

  3. You people are in full denial. Yes, at first I thought it was about lesbians too. But it isn't. Not at all. I finally put two and two together. Then I saw the evil girls in a narrow, vein-like space, and I knew. White Light, White Heat!

  4. The girls in the veils are Heroin. The room is her mind. At the end, the girls are in a narrow space, a hypodermic needle. Then they get injected and kill the girl with an O.D. The man with the beard is the monkey on her back. It's a very sinister song, though beautiful. In spite of their half-hearted denials, The La's did write this song about Heroin. Their bass player said "I don't want to know," but he did know. You notice that the girls look evil. And the art gallery has a projector. And the very title comes from a famous Velvet Underground song.

  5. Ah, nostalgia. Reminds me of being young, driving around for hours listening to this stuff on the radio, playing road hockey in the Canadian winter, hanging out at the mall or the arcade, eating pop tarts, smoking joints with friends by the railroad tracks, and watching the X-Files, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Are You Afraid Of The Dark and Sabrina The Teenaged Witch. Good times.

  6. So kind. I also came here to use the delete button (there didn't used to be one), 2,000 years to the end of time power, in child cycles' years' ago; that child, combined with myself, btw. yes there's a story like that for each day of my life. I saw comments on other videos, can't deny that. If they don't realize their friend in the highest places, well… You probably feel labile – all things are to power, not the case of what can be done to someone effective in the beginning at least from higher, safe, nonunderstanding – sympathies. 5's on the other hand are not dynamic to their effective limiting of evil, but are a living fight – to all below it. Of course, 9's do understand – it all, without seeing the point of going down to experiencing anything torturous at a – higher most likely – level. So if I feel like a black and red lemon meringue pie, there's tortures every day to overlook why. Even after reading this, 10's think you are too dumb to imagine. There already was a 4 level – expressive (believed intellience) analogies repeat things again (gay style is more expressive than black people to each other) – blonde deduction to level 10. if god rules from a throne he has an – awful – lot of sunspots, each one of which could contain all material conscious energy in two days. who are we? Good-natured? without persecution, you're a level negative. (it's not nice to! women!). Noone is close is not a term of containment. It will take more respect to the saviors! of every age. your applications will go to the top, but love is not an intensity. that child was one.

  7. Sixpence's version of this song does a great job of summarizing most everything that I feel is wrong with the music industry.I can just see the meeting at the record company now:Joe Record Company Executive – "this song (written and recorded by the La's) has a great hook but the fact it is about heroin is way too controversial. Let's change a few of the lyrics, get a pretty girl to sing it and make it a love song about women walking around in hats while men adore them from a distance".
Attention Capital Records Stockholders: The dumbing down of the music listening public is complete. Your checks are in the mail. End transmission.
It is so sad when realness is rejected and replaced with a bubblegum version of what it used to be.I find it particularly troublesome that the La's version has less YouTube views than Sixpences' version.

  8. I love this song so much. Though it reminds me of when I was about 8 years old and my English wasn't as good and our cat had kittens. One of it died after 3 days or so and I was very sad and singing this line in my head: There she goes…
