Creflo Dollar is destroying the Christian faith

NO TITHING, AND NO GIFT/GENEROUS GIVING FOR ME, I DO NOT think the Lord wants us to enrich, and make phonies, like Creflo Dollar. Joel Olsteen, TD Jakes, Joyce Myers, etc., etc., rich while they gleefully take money from the poor!!! ABSOLUTELY NO TIDIING FOR ME, and anyone else who has an ounce of sense should also NOT TITHE. I tithe to homeless people, underpaid waitress, and other underpaid workers, I make sure to tip/tithe with those people and the Lord that I know is proud of people like me who help the underpaid, and less fortune people. I will never understand tithing to ministers, churches/organizations and to people who can work/and be employed like me! I will never freely tithe to people who take tithe/money and then give no accounting of my tithe/money, and as well spend my tithe money for their own benefits, i.e, to live in 21 bedroom homes, expensive gated communities, with expensive cars, etc., etc., while the tithers ride the bus and remain in poverty! TITTHE is the BIGGEST RACKET!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY TITHES OR MONEY ACTULLY GIVEN TO THE LORD! How do you think these FAKE "Christian" ministers live so lavisouly while the average tither barely gets by financially. WAKE UP PEOPLE PLEASE……………

The tithe that most people reference to in scripture is about farmers providing food to the orphans and widows….That’s it. It has zero to do with money in that instance.

Bishop Butler is my Bishops’ Bishop and I Love love love his teaching. So my ears were tingling when I waited to hear his perspective.

But I gotta say….I didn’t see the connection.

As bishop said “tithing” is just a word that essentially means ten. We have to differentiate mosaic law from customary honorariums (as in the case of the scripture)

The scripture he used is describing an Old Testament GIFT event – which is used to understand the priesthood of Jesus.

It’s a stretch to use it as an example of a mandatory principle of paying tithes after Jesus fulfilled the law.

As he mentioned, the Bible says that we are kings and priests….is it also LAW to pay tithes to each other? Of course not. but we gotta follow the logic.

Furthermore, we can’t pick and choose what laws are still active and what laws aren’t. There purity laws, feast laws, food laws (I know y’all don’t want to follow those no more, lol) tabernacle laws etc.

For me, creflo’s message is encouraging me to be a better giver.

We SHOULD GIVE GIVE GIVE under the direction of Holy Spirit….for many that’s going to be more then 10 percent…for some that will be less.

But I’m continually praying for more understanding. If I misunderstood anything let me know!

It's a command from God over in the book of Malachi about tithing …wow shows how much people really being taught. It's in the book of deutronomy about tithing…I just never knew God gave so much options..according to man's teaching. Every time you keep that 10% you rob yourself of blessings and answered prayers..your disobedience is disrespectful to the God you claim to serve.

Correct me if I'm wrong; but I've listened to Creflo's sermon on tithing. The way he teaches it ; he is not saying you shouldn't tithe. He is showing the difference between tithing under the Law of Moses compared to tithing under Grace and Truth by Jesus Christ. Under the Law of Moses you tithe in order to receive the Blessings of God. Under Grace and Truth by Jesus you tithe to Honor, Thank and show appreciation what the Finish Works of Jesus has accomplished for every believer. Look at Abraham, the Law wasn't given but he paid tithe to Melchizedek ;not to get God to bless him; but to Honor, Thank and show gratitude. After I listened to his sermon I hadn't stopped tithing nor giving beyond the tithe. Anyone that says Creflo say we're not to tithe isn't listening to the sermon. Now I tithe to Honor Thank and show gratitude for what the finish Works of Jesus has done for me. I see now the Blessing is running me over and I don't beg and plea for God to hear me. Just have Faith in The Finish Works of Jesus. and tihe out Gratitude, Honor and Thanks.

We are dealing with the end of the world and this clown is still twisting scripture for money.
