  1. I have a question about your post-Trib rapture belief. So you believe that there will be a rapture, but that this will happen at the same time as Jesus' second coming, when the wicked will be separated from the righteous – then what is the point of a Rapture at all? Why does Jesus need to rapture His saints, when he's going to destroy the wicked at the same time anyway when He returns?

Why not just leave the saints right there since all the tares are going to be gathered and burned in the fire. "He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matt 16:36-42.

So what's the point of the Rapture if that's the case? Why is there a need for a RAPTURE at all?

A Rapture is surely about taking believers away, otherwise why a Rapture at all? Why does Jesus need to take His believers away – and from what?

Just a few of the verses in Scripture which point to the differences between the pre-tribulation rapture and Jesus' Second Coming:

The Rapture will happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52) Whereas at Jesus' Second Coming, yes that's when every eye will see Him, everyone will see Jesus coming with great power and great glory (Zechariah 12:10, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 1:7).

At the Rapture, yes Jesus will descend from Heaven with a shout (calling for the saints at the resurrection). (1 Thessalonians 4:16). But this is different to Jesus' Second coming, no shout is mentioned, although the Lord does slay the wicked with the sword of His mouth. (Revelation 19:11-21)

At the Rapture, no angels are sent to gather the Church. Christians are simply caught up to meet Jesus in the air. But at Jesus' Second Coming, angels will be sent to gather people together for judgment. (Matthew 13:39, 41 & 49, Matthew 24:31, Matthew 25:31, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)

At the Rapture, Believers receive a new, immortal, glorified body fashioned like unto the Lord's. (Philippians 3:21; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54). Saints saved during the Tribulation enter into the Millennial kingdom with their earthly bodies. (Isaiah 65:20)

There is a difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming of the Lord because there is a difference between the dispensation of God's salvation to the Church and God's salvation for Israel. God will give Israel a chance to repent and be saved as God says in the Bible that He will never abandon Israel, even though the majority right now don't believe in Jesus, and that's the reason for the Great Tribulation. And then they will look upon Him and mourn for the Son whom they have pierced (Zechariah 12:10).

In the Great Tribulation, as many as half the people left on the earth will be killed. The most horrific events ever seen on earth will occur. And you say that the believers who survive at the end of these 7 years will only then be caught up in the Rapture. But what for? As God's reward for His believers from before the Great Tribulation for surviving the most horrific disasters ever? Is that the kind of merciful, loving God who gives a blessed hope and comfort to His believers, who says that they will be saved from His wrath that you believe in? Surely not!

For me, the Pre-Tribulation rapture is the only one that makes sense in respect of the need for a Rapture at all. Peace!
